Buying an Aeron Chair on eBay?
Buyer beware!

Because of its phenomenal popularity, the Aeron Chair has attracted resellers on eBay. The chairs provided on eBay are either an individual selling a used chair, or liquidators who have acquired these chairs through bankruptcy. According to Herman Miller, the 12-year warranty is NOT provided or transferred on used product. These resellers have no access to repair parts or warranty service.

Herman Miller has had numerous complaints about the false information and advertising by sellers on eBay. Unsuspecting buyers on eBay (including ourselves), have received misconfigured chairs, wrong chair colors, damaged goods, and misinformation on how old the chairs really are. When our inspection team purchased one of these chairs on eBay, we were told that the chair that we were acquiring was an order for a company who subsequently cancelled and was described as a "like new, open-box special". When we received the chair, we were surprised to find that the chair was actually 6 years old!Buyer beware!

Always be sure to confirm that your seller is an authorized Herman Miller retailer and supports the full 12-year Herman Miller warranty.
