What
is it?
The 12-year warranty/born-on date sticker acts as
a certificate of authenticity for your Aeron Chair.
It consists of the make and model of the chair, the
date and time of manufacture, and the Factory Order
number. These three things combined make up the information
needed to cover and use the Herman Miller 12-year
parts and labor warranty. |

Where do I find
it?
The 12-year warranty/born-on date sticker is usually
placed under the seatpan. |
What if it's missing?
Without this label, not only did the chair not come from
an authorized Herman Miller dealer, but the chair is not
covered by the 12-year warranty.
The "born-on"
date is over a few months ago...
An Aeron Chair with a label this old is most likely used.
Herman Miller makes each chair to order, typically 1-2 days
before they ship. Do not purchase an Aeron Chair with a
12-year warranty/born-on date label that is more than two
months old without asking the following questions:
